What do we want to become? (Vision)

A house of prayer for all people who are reconciled to God and to each other, living as fully devoted followers of Christ.

What is our history?

Hillside Church was founded in 1952 as a church plant of Wooddale Baptist Church of Richfield, MN, now Wooddale Church, Eden Prairie, MN. We settled on our present campus in 1969. In 1962, we planted Berean Baptist Church, Burnsville, MN, and in 1978, our people helped plant Friendship Church in Prior Lake. Hillside Church began its partnership with Bethany Academy, a K-12 Christian School on our campus, in 1995.

What is our form of government?

The church is governed by elders, its agenda is implemented by the pastoral staff, and the membership serves through ministry teams. All affairs of the church are held in account by the membership at its annual business meeting.

How do I become a member?

A membership class called "The Hillside Story" offers an opportunity to find out more about Hillside Church and what it means to become a member. If, after attending the class, a person expresses a desire to join, he or she will then meet with two elders to share his or her testimony of faith in Jesus. If a person has not yet been baptized by immersion (a requirement for membership), a date for baptism is scheduled. Prospective members are then welcomed at a Worship Service.
