Advent Study - Women's Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Join us for a 4-week Bible study to help us get our minds and hearts ready for the season of celebrating Jesus' birth. We will study the 4 themes of the advent season: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love, as we watch short, weekly DVD's entitled "The Greatest Gift" by Ann Voskamp, reflecting on these themes. We will also enjoy a simple weekly study of Scripture pointing us to the One we are celebrating! We will meet Tuesdays, 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Nov 6, 13, 27, and Dec 4. If you currently attend Tuesday Bible Study, no need to re-register. Questions? Contact the church office - click here

Thanksgiving Eve Service

Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m. you are invited to our annual Hillside tradition of gathering together in the Worship Center to spend time giving God praise as we remember all His blessings to us this past year. There will be time throughout the evening for you to share what you are personally thankful for. Each family is asked to bring a pie (please drop it off in the kitchen before the Service) to share during the time of fellowship in the Cafeteria following our time of praise - another Hillside tradition you won’t want to miss! (There will be no supper or Wednesday Connect activities or programs that night.)

Baptism

If you have not been baptized, please prayerfully consider your obedience to Acts 2:38 and Mark 16:16. You are not saved through baptism, but it goes hand-in-hand with repentance and surrendering your life to Jesus. Baptism will be offered Nov. 11, during both Worship Services. Please contact the church office if you have questions, or are interested in participating on Nov. 11.

Prayer for the Persecuted Church

As we have done for the past few years, we will observe the Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church on Sunday, Nov. 4, beginning with a prayer time in the Library at 8:30 a.m.. We also encourage you to wear something orange to remember those who have been martyred for their faith (honoring the Egyptian Coptic Christians who were led to their beheadings in Libya in 2016 while wearing orange jump suits). Our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world need the encouragement of our prayers!
