Why Give?
Scripture says more about money than almost anything else, and we believe that in our handling of material wealth, God can be glorified and our faith radically increased.
We purposely call this "generous giving" instead of "tithing" because the New Testament is clear that we need to think beyond the requirements of the Old Testament, and see all that we have as belonging to the Lord (2 Cor. 9). We believe strongly that you can't "out-give" God. We are to give regularly and generously to the work of God in proportion to that which He has provided to us.
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. 'Test me in this,' says the Lord Almighty, 'and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.'"

Our society is increasingly paperless, while desiring accuracy and efficiency in the accounting and allocation of our resources – especially when it comes to giving to the Lord. We offer a way that you can give electronically through automatic giving, where you can transfer money from your checking or savings account directly to Hillside Church without having to write checks. Print the Auto Withdrawal Form, attach a voided check or savings deposit slip and return them to the church office if you would like to give automatically.
